What are my chances to get into UCF?

Do you think I could get into UCF?

  • Do you think I could get into UCF with a 4.1 weighted GPA, 3.5 unweighted, 250+ community service hours assisting special needs kids and helping out teachers, having a pretty vigorous schedule all throughout high school, including a total of four AP classes all throughout high school, a very good college admission essay, being part of DECA Club, and key club, being active in a lot of recreational/ travel sports, but only a 1060 on the SAT [ 530 Math, 530 Reading ] [ 480 Writing ] and a 22 on the ACT. I know I could do better on the SAT/ACT, that's why I'm thinking of retaking them, I just did not pace myself that good I guess. Do you think this will be good enough to get into UCF? I know of ALOT of kids who want to go there, and I understand it is already very overpopulated as it is already.

  • Answer:

I think you should apply to several schools as you never know. Don't unilaterally predetermine that you won't be accepted; just hedge your bets and apply to more than one.

Raise your ACT to 23 or have SAT scores of 530 on reading, 560 on math, and 510 on writing and you have an even chance of admission.
