Which journalism major should I do?

Journalism Major/Double Major QUESTION!?

  • Hello all! So my dream is to become a travel journalist/travel photojournalist! What I'm asking is if I should or should not major in journalism/communications when I get to college! Right now I am a junior in high school. I want to get a job at a magazine like National Geographic and travel around the world, writing about people places cultures and food and taking photos while on these journeys! I've heard that I shouldn't major just in journalism, though. I heard I should do a double major of journalism and liberal arts or journalism and history. Should I do this? What universities either in the UK or Florida are good for double majoring in journalism and something else to become a successful travel magazine/newspaper journalist!? Thank you so very much!! :)
