Which is the best art university in the UK?

Universities for a BA in Practical Film, Television and Media Courses in the UK?

  • I am looking at going to university to do a film and media course in the UK. Really, I would like to do one that is practical (I realise all courses have at least some aspect of theory and I'm fine with that, I would just like to do a course which is mostly practical as this is what I'm interested in!) The places that I have read up about so far are: - London College of Communication (London College of Art) - University College for the Creative Arts (Farnham) - University College Falmouth I would like to emphasise that I am looking for accredited courses (basically a three or four year course being a BA course), which is in the UK. I'm also not interested in Film Studies courses, as these are mostly theory! If anyone wants to share their information on the universities listed above and their courses that would be appreciated. What would be best is if people could come up with suggestions on other universities that do these courses. Thanks everyone!

  • Answer:

You might want to do a 4 year so you can do some work experience. Bolton I think is quite good at those media related subjects. Try the Good University Guide 2008 which you'll find in the library or at your education establishment, also Ucas research course is great
