How to become an international CPA?

Can one become a CPA straight out of college ?

  • Here's the deal. Soon i'll be getting my A.A and will transfer to a 4 year college to major in Accounting. The school im going to offers 2 different accounting majors, the B.A in Accounting (42 credits to get a Bachelors) and the B.S in Accounting (67 Credits to graduate). On the schools business section it states that the B.S in Accounting is for students who wish to "sit for the CPA exam upon graduating". But doesn't getting the CPA require job experience ? Or would the B.S count as job experience, this is really important to me because if I do indeed need job experience then it would make no sense to waste more money on more credits to get a CPA, I might as well get the B.A, get job experience then apply to be a CPA. I live in NY if that helps. Anyone ever heard of a CPA getting certified out of college ?

  • Answer:

A while back you could take the Uniform CPA straight out of some four year colleges in NY without the additional 150 hours. For more info visit http://www.thiswaytocpa.com/
