How hard is it to get into Auburn University?

How hard is it to get 1st Class Honours in a Degree at university/college?

• Hi (: I'm starting university in September and I'm going to be studying Child Nursing. I really want to get 1st Class Honors or Second Upper Class Honors, but ideally 1st Class Honors. I know university is hard work, but is it really difficult to get 1st Class Honors in any degree? Thanks.

  Yes, it quite is. I'm going to university this year for the first time (my first year, I completed in community college) and I've been told that if I really want to make 1st Class honors or even Upper Class Honors you have to be very dedicated, work hard and actually show your teachers you care. Which I've been told, teachers can sometimes be a little harsh, and you have to be prepared for every class, have your textbooks, supplies, etc. all with you. But since its going to be your first year, you don't have to worry much about that, sophomore year would be a better year to start worrying about it, but of course if you do get it freshman year, then that's great! Just make sure you always take notes (on whatever is written on board and even some important details the teachers say), if possible you can buy your own video recorder and record your classes to study or remember something the teacher might have said you missed or just to get the basic information of the class recorded (a lot of my friends do this, I'll do it too this upcoming year since it actually helps a lot), read your textbooks wisely and carefully since a lot is learned from there and if you have any doubt or comments or anything, always tell your teacher about it, a good communication with your teachers is always helpful. But the good part is you don't have to be rich, lol. You just have to work hard for it. I'm sure if you do so, you can get 1st Class Honors. That I'm sure. Best of luck on your first day!
