What is life like at UCSD?

UCSD HELP!!! What should I expect?!?

• I'm transferring next year to UCSD from a community college and I was wondering what to expect in terms of... 1. the quarter system they use. how does it compare to a semester system? 2. the work load 3. campus life 4. PARKING!! what should i expect the first weeks of the year/new quarter? throughout the year?? 5. tuition? is it a flat rate or per unit? 6. what is the difference between the colleges? 7. student life?   1. quarter system is harsh. mistakes are not allowed at all. But thanks to the curve, you can pass the class. 2. work load is pretty harsh depending on the major. most science majors are like dying and crashing. 3. campus life is ehhh.... kinda boring. but there are parties going on almost everyweekend or club parities on thursday. so if you're over 21, you'll have a lot of fun. 4. parking is an @$$. its hard to find parking with all the graduates and third/fourth years coming in. GOtta come early to snatch a parking spot or else you're gunna be walking a lot. 5. tutition.... its per quarter. its like about $2,500 for tuition. 6. difference between the colleges is that where they are located and the GEs. Muir has the easiest and i think its Revelle has the hardest GEs?? something like two years of college writing .... ouch. 7. student life... its boring. but you try to make the best of it with your group of friends. go out and just explore things on campus. sometimes there are events like across campus capture the flag and you should really join those to get to know more people and to just have some good fun.
