    None of the CSU schools are very selective. Individual programs at third or fourth tier universities don't usually make the rankings, so it would be hard to answer your question. If you can get into a UC school -- go there instead. Berkeley is the best UC school for engineering.

Cal Poly is definitely one of the best schools in engineering. Most people fresh out of Cal Poly make $45,000 a year "Earning a spot in the magazine's Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs – for schools whose highest degree is a bachelor's or master's – Cal Poly’s College of Engineering ranked as the No. 2 program at a public school, behind only the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy."

All of which have outstanding engineering programs. Attending, and doing well academically, at any of these schools will do well in guaranteeing a strong career in the field of engineering.
