What college do I pick?

What college degree would you pick out of the four degrees in computer Skills? I need ADVICE?!?

  • Im stuck on what to chose to go to college for.. I have 4 things that i can't chose between. Computer Specialist, Graphic Design, Network Management, and Computer Programming. Im interested in all four degrees so I cant base my decision on the one I like the most and feel most comfortable with. What pays the most once your out of college? Is there more of a demand for one of these degrees than the others? What one would land me a quick job out of college? Ah... so many questions, please leave some advice. Any advice you could give me would help me out a lot! Thank you

  • Answer:

Hello :) I am a graphic designer and I just started learning how to build webpages. Depending on where your living, you will be making much more money designing webpages than doing just graphic design. This also incorporates the computer programming aspects- webdesign involves a lot of coding but also design. My husband, however, is getting his degree in computer networking. I would ask yourself, would you rather have a more creative job or a more technical job? If you tend to be an artsy person, I would go for the graphic design- web design degree. You can usually start out at $60,000/yr doing web design. On the other hand, if you like troubleshooting and learning about how computers work, I would stick with networking or computer programming. Either way I think you're pretty set- you can't go wrong with a degree in technology! Technology will never fade out!
