How do I reference a tv show using the harvard referencing system in a bibliography??

Hi there, Just state your quote from the tv show in your essay,and then after the sentence, put the name of the tv show and date it was shown in brackets.

1) Series title – followed by a full stop 2) Series number (if appropriate) – followed by a full stop 3) Year of production – in brackets 4) Programme title – underlined, in bold, or in italics and followed by a full stop 5) Place of publication – followed by a comma 6) Transmitting organisation – followed by a comma 7) Date of transmission – followed by a comma 8) Medium and then Format – separated by a colon, in square brackets and followed by a full stop Hope this helps!

Just say what the programme was (eg Jackanory). In the bibliography, you would put Jackanory, Week Ending Friday March 31st 1976, BBC - but put the bibliographic bit into the harvard referencing thingy. (I know it is unlikely you would use Jackanory, but had to think of some tv programme and it was the first one I thought of - I sometimes wonder how my mind wanders about!)

in your reference list it should be something like... BBC, 1995, Once Upon A Time* (video) *imagine it's in italics or underlined lol so surely in the body of the essay it would just be blah blah blah (BBC,1995) thats what I have always used anyways!! best of luck Jorja xx
