Opera Colleges..Help!?

Hello, I am a sophomore in high school. I am going to college to be a double major in music ed and Performance. I am an Opera singer so I am looking for school with very good Opera programs. MUST HAVE/BE: -On the east side of the country Double major in music ed and Performance Undergraduate degree Opera program (Also I live right by the eastman school of music and I know it is a good school but I prefer not that as a suggestion) thank you : ) sing your heart out

Indiana University will probably meet your needs. Look at both the voice and vocal performance programs as well as the opera program. The latter concentrates on opera production, although it does have some vocal courses. Indiana University has the best comprehensive undergraduate music program in the country.
