Which canadian university would you choose? and why?
-
obviously university applications are expensive, so i'm trying to narrow down my list into something smaller. Ideally i'd like to be accepted into a commerce program with my second choice general arts. Here are my uni choices: - University of British Colombia (i live here so i wouldn't live in res) - Simon Fraser - University of Toronto - Queens - Western Ontario - McGill - Dalhousie

Answer:
I'm in first year at Western for music and I love it here. The people are so friendly, and it's a great school overall. My brother goes to McGill and he likes it, but he finds it is very competitive, especially in his program which is business. UofT is a good school too, but I think it will be harder to make friends because it is a commuter school - mostly people from the GTA that travel there from home every day. My friend goes to Dalhousie for English, and if you're interested in that I know that their program is great and definitely one of a kind, though I don't know anything about their commerce program. Queens commerce has a good reputation, but the Queens campus isn't great. I don't know much about UBC or Simon Fraser. You should definitely visit the universities if you get the opportunity, as I found that is what helped me decide where I truly wanted to go. Hope this is helpful :) Good luck!

Western Ontario because the campus is beautiful and they have a good art program. My father also went there so maybe I'm being biased. He loved it there so much we still go the parade every year even though he's turned 53 this March. That's gotta say something.

i would go to university of toronto. it is the best school in canada depending on what you want to do but for the majority of things it is the best. also, i prefer toronto to montreal, especially as i don't speak french.

McGill. I've heard from many sources that it's the best Canadian university, and has a huge international reputation. Plus, I would love going to school and living in Montréal.

I go to Dal (for engineering) but if you want to take Commerce and come to Halifax, then apply to Saint Mary's University. Its way better than Dal ONLY for commerce.
