What's the Process of College Application?

How does the college application process work (really urgent)?

  • I need to know, how many people look at your application? What if they discriminate based on race, sexual orientation, etc.? Let's say you talk about your race and sexual orientation, and you get rejected, how do you know you were discriminated? Please tell me all I need to know about this. Also, how many people will look at your application? Is it a good idea to lie a little bit about extracurriculars? Is it a group of people or? I want to transfer to a UC school. Please help me. Thanks!

  • Answer:

At a minimum, two people will read your application. If the two scores vary by a wide margin, a third person reads your application. Transfer applications are read by staff at the admissions office and they are required to disregard things like race, sexual orientation, or anything else that is prohibited by law. Because of the rigorous reading process, it is essentially impossible for anyone with a secret agenda (such as discriminating students based on race) to go undetected. It's never a good idea to lie about your extracurriculars. The UCs take lying really seriously and if you get busted for lying on your UC application, you will be blacklisted for life from the entire UC system.
