What's it like to be a wildlife tech?

Texas tech law, whats life like in Lubbock? How is the school?

  • I've been accepted to Texas Tech Law and so far they are my top choice considering the scholarship they offered me. However, on other law forums I kept reading about people worried about "moving to Lubbock". It seems to have a bad reputation. Can any current/former Texas Tech students shed some light on what it was like attending there. I would be moving from Wilmington, DE.

I really think you should visit. If you are coming from a cosmopolitan urban area, the transition might be painful. That's not to say that it isn't worth it. Texas has a lot of good qualities and good places (like Austin), but I have to say that Lubbock doesn't rank very high on my list. On the other hand, it's law school! You won't be seeing much of the town anyway. You'll be spending most of your time at the library. Congrats on getting in!

http://busdev.ci.lubbock.tx.us/pdf/qualityOFLife.pdf Here is a site with the demographics of the city. Go to the school site http://www.law.ttu.edu/studentlife/ Look at the site, the Alumni, student publications, visit the school. It is Texas but that can be a good thing.
