Answer:
that's kind of a big decision. you didn't really give much detail, so what subjects do you like? anything you seem to feel a special connection to?

You can start with an undeclared major. Most people change their major anyway, some time during college. There are a lot of classes you need no matter what you decide to major it, so you can take those first while you're making up your mind. Also most departments have 'survey' courses, for people who are not majors of that department, to give them an overview of the field, what kinds of things you'd learn in that major. I ended up being a liberal arts major, going to college not to prepare for any particular job but just for my own edification (and 'cos I had the time and my parents had the money). I've never regretted it, but sometimes I wish I'd gotten a technical degree of some kind because I ended up working mostly in high-tech.

Just answer this question: What would you do all day long if money wasn't an issue? or What do you love to do? Now find a job with that... if that doesn't work, then just start college and don't declare a major until you decide. :) Good luck!

Don't do it. Go get a horrible job. A labor job. One that makes you hurt and hate life. Work that for a while until you figure out what you don't want to do and gain some direction. I worked landscaping for two years before I realized I was going back to school. Now I have a career path I'm working on.

I went to the local community college for a short time and I majored in beer and girls haha. You don't need to pick a major right away, just try out things and see what you like.

Thinking about starting college in january? Applications were due last year. Might want to go to community college but if you live in California I doubt they will offer you classes because of all the cutbacks. Oh and major on something vague so you can apply to other majors if switch your mind. English? Mathematics?
