What is it like to be a radiologist?

What is needed to become a radiologist ?

  • i am interested in radiography and was wandering about the following things: 1) what is the key differences between a radiographer tech and a radiologist? 2) what kind of gcse grades do you need to get into med school and how long does it take? 3) what is the starting salary? 4) and do radiologist . radiographer techs ever deal with LOADS of blood.

  • Answer:

    1) A radiologist is a specialist doctor, who uses many different types of scanning apparatus, a Radiographer uses X-Rays and is the industrial applications of X-Rays. Radiology is basically medical Radiography. 2) The GCSEs are not that important except to some really snooty universities, and a typical medical degree is 5 years (without intercalation (Never mind)). 3) A junior doctor can earn about £30,000 (1st year) and £40,000 (2nd year) with supplements. 4) Not usually, when the area they scan are very bloody, they don't usually scan them as the problem is easy to deduce.
