Transferring from Queens College to Columbia University through the transfer Plan. Is this a good idea? Please explain to me about this process and idea. I have a feeling going from QC to columbia is less acknowledged than going straight to Columbia and graduating from there. Also is it true that if u get under a certain amount of family income you can go to Columbia for free? Is the dorm free also?? http://www.physics.qc.edu/undergraduateprogram.htm

Answer:
Yes, Columbia offers full financial aid for low-income students. You are likely to be able to transfer in, but I"m not sure whether you can transfer any credits. I recommend calling up Columbia's admissions office to get your questions answered correctly.
