What is Fashion Merchandising and what could I do with a degree in it?

I already know where Im going for college but im not sure about my major. Does anyone know about fashion merchandising? Im also intrested in latin cultures..especially Puerto Rico, does anyone know how that can translate into a career?

It is an exploration of the elements of wholesale buying and selling of apparel. It is only useful if you plan to be a buyer for a store or start an apparel line to sell.
