How can I prepare for the SAT 2012?

  • I'm a junior and I'm nervous about taking this years SAT's, but I will. I'm okay in math, but I'm certain that I'd have to review some Geometry and I had a hard time with Algebra 2. Also I find it difficult to answer to the reading section because (from past experiences on PSATs and ACTs) they don't give enough time. Some of my friends took it and made 1400s and I'd like to do better. What's an average score for the SAT and what type of math should I give more attention to? How should I take the SAT to ensure I get a good score?

i just got my SAT back. what do you think you're shooting for? I got a 2090 : o, 10 points short of my goal ha ha. whatevs i'm satisfied with my score. math is easy for the most part, you just have to be really careful because the math curve is horrible. for the reading section ALL the answers can be taken out of the passages. You have to nitpick and read very carefully. i suggest paragraph question, it's when you read one paragraph and answer the questions that it correlates with. I think the national avg is around 1500 so if you do better than that you're alright. good luck studying for it. do the best that you can and try to get a score you deserve.
