What colleges can I get into?

  • What colleges can I get into? What colleges can I get into? I right now am a High School junior and I am just wondering what type of schools I could get into. My freshmen year I got a 4.0 with 3 honors classes and I played basketball and volleyball, Sophomore year I got a 4.2 with one AP, and 3 honors, basketball and volleyball again, 4 on the APEH test. I am in a few clubs, and I volunteer at my syngagogue and have been my Youth Groups president now for 3 years. This year I am taking 3 APs and one honors class and I hope to be more involved but I am not sure if I will continue playing sports(does that Matter??). Based on this information what kind of schools can I get into and what types of SAT or ACT scores do I need to get to get into a top Tier college if possible???? Thanks

There are several factors you should consider when you decide what college you want to go to 1.) Money- Do you have the money to go to a big school? A. Did your parents plan and save you money for school or B.) Are you going to receive financial aid (if eligible) 2.) What is your major? A.) Do you want to go to a really renowned school (where the pressure is on) or to a school that is still a top notch school, just a little more laid back. B.) What school is best for your particular major? 3.) Location, Location, Location - Where do YOU want to live? Are you going to stay on campus or with your parents? Most importantly, do what YOU want, not what your parents want you to do, you will be an adult and don't let them forget that it is your life and your decision. So if you want to pack up and move across the country, then do it! 4.) Do you want to take your basics somewhere cheaper and then transfer? Many people believe that you have to go to that "big college" right out of high school, but that's not true, many people save their financial aid (whether its a college fund, scholarship, or gov financial aid) and then transfer to their college of choice. This also helps you prepare. Well anyways, I hope this has helped, Good Luck!!

Well, for an IVY league school, you probably need at least a 1450 old SAT or 2200 new SAT, and I would say that you are fine on sports, but also, colleges look a lot at your class rank, so if your not like top 5% i might not apply to them, but there are plenty of other good schools that you could probably get into that aren't IVY league otherwise.

congrats as in now it seems that you have a great resume. look up colleges that have what courses and major you are interested in and see what scores do they want. sometimes they require you to take SAT2s subject test. all colleges require different scores so look them up . also some colleges only accepts the first SAT that you take.

Hmm depends, If you want to get a scholarship then you could probably get into a sum of good colleges but if you have the money , you can do anything you want too.

I think you'll do fine. SAT score is going to be huge. Make sure you have a good score on that. If you have a good SAT score, it can compensate for a lot of shortcomings, not that you have many.

From my standpoint, you'll be good with any college you apply into... just make sure you have 3-4 years of language and 3 years of math, and english across the board...possibly economics.

Wall St. and Broadway

you can go to any college as long you can afford it
