What clothes should a female bring for college?

Well...you'll need these different 'types' of outfits: one type for going to class; another for going to parties; and another for just hanging out relaxing with your friends. I never wear sweats or pajamas to class. I think it's kind of insulting to the professor. I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt or sweater or a blazer...nothing fancy, but I think it's respectful to look nice. Going out--dark jeans, heels, short skirts, maybe some casual dresses, some nice shirts... And for lounging--just sweats and t-shirts. Don't forget flip flops for the showers...rain boots for when it's pouring and you need to walk a ways to class... You might want to bring one pair of nice black pants and a button-down in case you ever have a job interview or something... If you're going somewhere where it snows, bring snow boots (Uggs won't be enough.) If you're going somewhere warm (or mayve even no matter where you go, because it'll be warm when you get there) bring a bikini, so you can tan (or at least just sit outside) outside with your friends.

Don't dress like a tramp, and don't dress like a frump. A lot of girls just wear sweatpants or even PJs to class -- not recommended. Aim for casual sophisticated -- jeans or a knee-length skirt and a nice top. You may want a little formal wear for Homecoming etc., but most people dress like they're going clubbing.

Jeans, t-shirts, tank tops, mini-skirts, shorts, going out tops, sweatshirts...bringing dressy clothes may benefit you if you plan on going out-sometimes the greek system will have dressy dinners and parties so bringing classy clothes will help you out-or if you plan on going to a nice restaurant. I pretty much brought my entire closet with me...and then over Winter Break when I went home I took the clothes I never wore and kept my favorites with me back at my dorm. Have fun-college is a blast!

You best bet is to wear what you normally wear on a daily basis. (I.E. at school, going out with friends etc.)

Jeans and a t-shirt. A lot of the girls at my college wear little sun dresses every day, but it's really hot here and they're all idiots anyway, just trying to find a husband before they fail out. The ones doing serious majors - science, engineering, math, architecture - dress casually.

jeans, tshirts, baseball cap, flip flops, day dresses..thats it...be comfortable but dont wear pajamas...thats tacky and just pure laziness..lol

I mainly wear jeans/nice pants a nice shirts or jeans and t-shirts(on lazy days) to class. sometimes i even wear sweatpants. you won't look like a junky- that's what majority of people wear where i am. you should bring a few dresses/going out clothes with you because you never know when you're going to wind up going somewhere spur of the moment.
