Are my SAT scores good enough for these schools?

So my sat scores are relatively strong, but i have limited ecs.. what schools do you think i could get into?

  • i'm a junior with 3.8 gpa uw, 4.3 w (only 1 AP) 2090 sat: 750 math, 630 cr, 710 writing (only taken once..) i work about 15hrs a week, but otherwise i have no ecs.. i was a member of spanish club in 9th and 10th grade, but now i'm not in any clubs nor do i play sports or have any leadership-esque roles. what schools do you think i could get into? (preferably ones with good financial aid as my family income <20k a year) sorry if that's hard to follow, i'd really appreciate any answers i can get though. thanks.

  • Answer:

You can easily get into any state university and will likely have access to both academic and needs based scholarships.

In terms of legacy (Karen answered the rest with a good answer), it depends by each school. The problem is that obviously as more people graduate more college, they have more kids of college graduates and thus legacy is not nearly as influential as it used to be. It probably can't hurt your application unless you come off as just applying there because your family went there, but it probably won't have a major impact at two top-notch schools such as those where they can find qualified applicants regardless of any relation you may have to alumni.
