How did you get into a a good college?

How do i get into a good college?

• Okay so I wanna know what kind of college I can be accepted into. I am currently a sophomore. Some e.c activities include -volunteering at library 50+ hours -volunteering at a nursing home 100+ hours -plan to volunteer at hospital and other places next two years -been playing tennis about 6 years -finished top 100 in country and top 3 in section when i was 13 -finished top 10 in southwest, top 250 in nation last year -currently been slacking off in tennis because of school but when i can drive i will fix that and get back into top 10 or 5. -march of dimes -key club -plan to do other clubs next year as junior (N.H.S, asian cultural club,etc) and senior year -varsity 1 tennis team at school -freshman football running back -Couldnt play sophomore year because of geometry grade but might play again junior and senior years Okay now for classes I am doing I.B (international baccalaureate) program Freshman Year Schedule Hon Geometry- C (Slacked off so i am going to retake class and get an A) Hon Biology- B Hon English B IB spanish 3- A Comp- A Business- A P.E- A Sophomore Year Hon Alg 2- A Hon English 3-4-A Hon Chem- B IB Spanish 5-6- A Ap U.S Gov- A Hon Physics 1-2- A I plan to get at the least all A's and a B for junior and senior years and I will be taking I.B classes so they will be rigorous. I also plan get a 28+on A.C.T and probably 2000+ on S.A.T What else if I need anything else would i need to do to get into a good college and what kind of college's would accept me? Do i have a chance for stanford? maybe UCLA or UCSD or Michigan? Thanks p.s I wanna major in medicine or business

  Your extra curricular are good, but your grades might need a bit of improvement to get into Stanford or UCLA. They both accept students with an average GPA of 4.0+. Your grades sophomore year improved which is good, but they can't really go any lower than they are. You could also try getting involved in more things at your school. Join more clubs. Try music or drama. Run for student body government. And remember 2 things: these schools want well rounded students with good recommendations and essays.
