How long do typical college credits last before they 'expire'? or won't be accepted for transfer?
-
I am taking some college credits right now, and may not finish right away.

Answer:
most schools use the 5 year rule. But some say if you have taken a college level english and math and pass a placement test you meet their requirements. I would check with the school you intend to apply to and wait to take the most important subjects such as biology, english, and college math until you get closer to the date you expect to apply. It really just depends on the school and your major.

I don't think they expire. Some credits in tech intensive fields like computers may not transfer after awhile (ie try getting credit for a FORTRAN class now) but most basic classes should be fine.
