What's a few really good fine art universities in Canada?

Are art universities in Canada, like Concordia or Emily Carr, hard to get into?

  • I really want to get into either in the next three years. If I can't, then I'm just going the Orange County for college or something. It's my dream to live in Canada though, Vancouver, Montreal, etc.

  • Answer:

Admission to the Fine Arts programs at Concordia is competitive. Most programs require a portfolio or audition, so you need to start planning ahead. The following page is a good place to start. You'll find admissions info, portfolio and audition guidelines, info videos on the programs and a link to the Fine Arts Future Students page on Facebook: http://finearts.concordia.ca/studyinginfinearts/futurestudents/undergraduate/ If you intend to apply to a program that requires a portfolio, you should check out Concordia's Portfolio Day. The next one will be held on Sat. October 23: http://openhouse.concordia.ca/portfolioday/ Montreal is one of the most culturally rich cities in North America! Definetely a great place to study the arts! :)
