What jobs can i do after my BA (Hons) Early childhood Studies?

  • I was just wondering what kind of jobs i can do after my 3 year degree in Early Childhood Studies? Please can you give me some ideas other than Nursery Manager. Thank you xxxx

    honestly without doing a top-up degree not much and you can only be a nursery manager if you have the experience even with your level six. However, have you thought about play therapy, working in a children's centre, or something more specialised such as speech and language? If you did a top-up you could do social work, teaching etc. Oh and definitely do EYPS. For speech and language check out this website http://www.rcslt.org/. It is likely that you would have to do a post graduate dregree to qualify. It is so fustrating to know that you have spent 3 years at university only to find that you have to go back to actually get a job worth doing (other than "nursery work" of course!? )

Sorry, but if you waste time on a micky mouse degree I don't see much hope for any high flying jobs

Okay... "other than" ideas... Sales, Management, Human Resources, Government... particularly if the entity you're working for deals with children. (A Toy corporation, a Government department dealing with Children's issues, a Non-profit educational company)

my friend i used to work with (she was the gymnastics gym manager), is now a behavioral analyst. at least im pretty sure thats what her title is. something about helping kids with autism and other developmental disabilities fix their behavioral problems.

Try Speech Pathology, you need an MD. Its a very sought after field and there is employment. It also has a nice pay.
