What's the difference between a finance major and an accounting major?

Whats the difference between finance and accounting?

• Is managerial accounting similar to finance? Is intermediate accounting hard? I took financial accounting during summer and made C I also took managerial accounting in the summer and made a B should I do finance or accounting. I really like both subjects but just not sure which on to major in. do you think I would have done better if I took managerial and financial accounting during a normal semester like spring and fall? Help I'm really lost!!!

  Accounting is the system of record-keeping that measures funds that come into the firm and what they are spent on. Basically it is labeling what is done with money that comes in or goes out of the company. Finance is more about making investment decisions, how to assess risk, how to evaluate potential investments, etc.
