How to do I Increase my franchise restaurant sales and guest count ?

I have a franchise restaurant, fast casual concept.. How do I increase slaes and guest count ? I have tried newspaper, advertising, frequent dinner program, fundraiser, word of mouth, and much more.. no effect. Lunch is great, but dinner is not too great. The concept is complex to run, there is no franchise support.. there is a subway next to me doing nearly $3000 a day, and several other concepts. My concept sales pasta, all kinds of different dishes...the interior is great, the food is great, everyone loves it, but no body knows about the concept. I dont have much money to do any high end advertising... What else can I do to get my sales up ? Please help. Ben

Increase your average ticket: get your staff to upsell ( have an incentive for the staff person who upsells the most) Hand out coupons during your lunch rush with some sort of discount, free appetizer etc when they return for dinner within the next seven days: cheap advertising! Work with a local radio station: maybe a live remote Online coupons on your website Dazzle your current customers with exceptional service...word of mouth advertising is the most effective Post dinner specials: say, after 8:00, buy 1, second 1/2 price

then you should do a research... try to find what people surround in your area try to do a survey also what food they prefer and have some promotion since dinner sales is not that good try to make it cheaper or have some free drink in dinner...in business you should be creative... Good Luck!!!

The cheapest, most effective ONE TIME advertising is to buy a block (or a page) in the Yellow Pages. Hmmm... if you have a franchise your food has to taste the same as it does at all of the other franchises, right? What's left: Price, Portion size, Speed of service, Atmosphere.

I managed a restaurant and we had the same problem- only we had dinner guests instead of lunch! Anyway- believe it or not little things do matter to people...#1. RESTROOMS must be cleaned more than once in a while..even franchises..the restroom is an indication of the cleanliness of the kitchen. #2. When your employees say "thank you- have a nice day"..do they seem like it's rehearsed? I always tell any employee everywhere..."don't say it unless you mean it..I hope you have a good day,too." They USUALLY smile. #3. Place employees outside (check on insurance regulations) with signs &/or coupons to hand out randomly to people..good for today only! Giving 25 people a 10% discount usually drew an extra $300 or so per day! #4. Have an "customer appreciation drawing" .. have people sign their receipt and place it in a box- each month have a different prize..we had a dinner for 8...a $200. grill with a pack of steaks (in the summer)...something valuable. If you think about it- $200. of advertising would be like a page in a paper. People really respond to this. #5. 1/2 off a dinner meal with the purchase of a meal between 4-6pm (or whatever hours you need more business). #6. Make sure the quality of food is consistant. When you have fresh food served one day but a sandwich that is slopped together another day...there's something wrong! #7. Attitudes of employees do not belong in your place of business..frowning,argueing,non-sociable… they need to be told get it together or find another job. All-in-all..treat your customers like they are your ONLY customer, offer a clean environment,good food, and a little treat for the customers on occasion! Good luck!

Wheres your Restaurant located Ben ? Sounds like your already In a good spot Remember Location Location Location. But yeah invest in some advertising, Run your ad in the penny saver or have a printshop print you up some nice flyers that you can leave places where theres alot of customer traffic like at a mechanic, Doctors office. I build and repair computers and leave business cards and flyers anywhere they let me. It works
