What do you think are the best 5 restaurants in the state you live in?

  • Ok so me and my boyfriend like to travel and we love to try out new places and new foods. I would like to know what the best 5 restaurants are in the state you live in.

    Living in both Maine and Connecticut, selected five favorites: Down the road in Woodbury, Connecticut, a special favorite of mine is: Carole Peck's Good News Cafe, American cuisine, excellent service and food; Ibiza, New Haven, Connecticut, excellent Spanish cuisine; Le Petite Cafe, Branford, Connecticut, French cuisine; Grissini Italian Bistro, Kennebunport, Maine, classic Tuscan dishes, outstanding eatery; Stripers Waterside, Kennebunport, Maine, great seafood, fun during summer months, right on the waterfront. Bon Appetite!

I live in Boise, Idaho. I'm not sure if I can list the absolute top 5, but I'll list my favorite in 5 different categories, and I'm only including local chains, as I'm sure you can always eat at Chili's, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster somewhere relatively close to where you live. Best Pizza: Smoky Mountain Pizza & Pasta - A mostly-Idaho chain, it's a little pricier but better than any major pizza chain. Best Thai: Pad Thai - I'm not an expert on Thai, but everything I've tried here has been great. Best Restaurant & Bar: Bardenay - I consider it more restaurant than bar, and the quality food, both for dinner and weekend brunch, is what I base my opinion on. Best South of the Border food: Tucano's - A chain with only 4 restaurants in 3 states, it is a Brazilian buffet that blows the buffet concept away by having servers go table to table with delicious meats fresh from the oven (or whatever device they use to cook it), but still offers a unique Brazilian-themed salad/soup/bread/fried banana/lots more buffet. Best Sports Bar: Buster's - Unlike Bardenay, it's got the more "typical" greasy bar food, and if that's what you're craving (along with some football on TV), Buster's is the place to go. OK, I admit that it reminds me of Hooters - which I don't consider a good thing - in that the servers are all women, and you can guarantee they won't be wearing slacks and a long-sleeved shirt, but in spite of that, it's my favorite place to grab a burger (jalapeno pepperjack, usually)

Michigan: Longhorn- A steak house with incredible appetizers and fresh ingredients Rosanne's- a home style restaurant with the best chk parm and eggplant parm around Harbor House- all you can eat, but they cook the food fresh for you and serve it to you. Great seafood and london broil Country Inn- home style dine- inn. Awesome broasted chicken and great salads Golden Corral- all you can eat with very fresh food and great steak.
