What does it take to start a restraunt?

How would I start up a Bar/Restraunt?

  • I am looking to start up and own my own Bar/Restraunt in the near future. I was wondering what it would take cost wise. Loans from the gov't. help me

    go to college for management or business or culinary arts. then work in restaurants and bars so you can get experience and ideas. maybe if you stay at one place and manage, you could possibly end up owning. happens a lot. cost wise, theres a lot of costs. rent, wages, utilities, food costs. bars are the money makers in restaurants. i'd say about 70% of a restaurants profit can come from the bar alone. if you want to have your own bar/restaurant and build from the ground up, then you might consider having it in an enterprise zone. type enterprise zone and whatever state you lve in on google and you could find an area in your state that has lowered taxes and lowered costs for starting businesses. loans can be obtained at a bank if you can prove to them that you have a solid plan and can pay them back. good luckk :)

Much depends on location You could start a stand up with a single bottle of booze sell shots for 1dollor make a killing .... Some states charge 200 bucks for a liquer lic herd of some in 10k's to do it right restraunt i wouldnt recomend do at first unless you got so much money you feel like loosin it Bar why cause you gota drink to stay alive and mate dang it < ok i quit driinking but trust me>

Let's see if the money is there, Like for Insurance at least $1 Million up front and building,and personnel, and Food and Drink at least $5 Million to start up because you have enough to cover 5 years that least they'd take on a lease.
