Restaurant with a bar in back?

Why would you close a bar/restaurant early if you have a two oclock liquor license?

• Hello. Well I live in a small town and there is a bar/restaurant that always closes after the dinner crowd goes home. This happens even on Friday nights. The only way they keep it open is if they have close to a full bar. Once upon a time this bar was ran by a different manager and they always kept the bar open till 2 am every night of the week. This led to them having a late night crowd. The way they run the place now they drove away the late night customer base, even though they still have the 2 am liquor license. Can anyone please explain to me possible reasons why the new management always closes this place early on a regular basis? They never have drink specials either, which is strange. Considering there is alot of money to be made in liquor sales.
