If you have the basic literacy skills to fill out an application, start out in a donut shoppe. Nothing is more boring than an illiterate waitress who cant read the names of the donuts on the donut rack. If a customer orders a "Jelly Donut" or a "Bavarian creme", the waitress has to be bright enough to get the right donut to the customer without calling "Da-dee" on her cell phone to ask him. Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic are essential to get any type of job even serving food to the wonderful people who are going "Out to Eat."

ANY RESTAURANT THAT THE AVERAGE PLATE IS OVER 15.00 PER PERSON SHOULD TIP BETTER, AND IF THEY SERVE ALCOHOL THAT WILL MAKE IT EVEN BETTER. DON'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE JERKS ON HERE THAT WANT TO MAKE YOU SEEM STUPID TO COVER THEIR OWN IGNORANCE. GOOD LUCK

Steak house. They have consistently succeeded over the years even in times of depression. They are a staple of the affluent U.S.dining community. The dishes are traditional and that means less spiel for you =more time to schmooze and take care of guests= more $ for you.

It definitely depends, hun. What type of people do you like? There are a lot of busy restaurants to work in and some pretty classy. Some are reminiscent of LA in the early part of the 1900's.
