How can expired restaurant coupons be used?
-
We have alot of expired restaurant coupons for pizza and fast food places (like pizza places and hot dog stands), can I use or donate these coupons to a charity or organization, or do I simply recycle them?

Answer:
you can TRY to use them at the restaurant since most of the time they send out same offers every month(week, bi-weekly etc) they may not even notice date Not sure if any organizations collects those kind of coupons they mainly just want manufacturer coupons. Including that first link person gave which is for military but it says right there no restaurant coupons. I usually just recycle mine and put them n the bin of newspapers and such That first link would be good for OTHER coupons tho. Says military can use expired coupons (but does say NO RESTAURANT coupons and do not to send coupons more than 30 days expired. You also have to separate them in food and non food categories) maybe if theres a college near u those places around there are more lenient on expired coupons

If they are expired they are worthless. They no longer have any value. Throw them away. They are trash now.

I work at a restaurant and we give out coupons very rarely. When someone comes in with a expired one there is only a couple of ways to get to use it. The only time this will work is if the coupons are barely expired. If they are over a year its not going to get you anywhere. First make sure you are very nice to your server so that they want to help you out. In most restaurants there is managers that are very by the book and there are some that are more lax. Your server will pick which one they will go to based on what they want to do for you. This is the easiest way to get what you want. The other way is to ask to talk to a manager yourself. Sometimes you will get a yes off the bat. Usually they will try to say no because they are trying to stick to policy. If you just argue with them long enough then you will get your way.... because the customer is always right.

A lot of it depends on the POS system being used at the restaurant. The other depends on the manager on duty. If they want to take them, they can, but are not required to.

if they are expired then no. They can't be used. No matter if you "reuse them" or donate them...
