Good places to eat in Seattle?
-
I'm going to Seattle in about a week and wanted to know if there were any really good, cheap places to eat in Seattle? My boyfriend and I would like to have one romantic night out but we're both students and couldn't spend more than $50 on one meal. Does anyone have any suggestions? Neither of us is very picky as far as types of food go, but if anyone could give me some good restaurants, that'd be fab! Thanks!

try the cheese cake factory i know you may have herd of it but its so good and relatively cheap and HUGE portions. also if you see a nostrum's walk to it get on that side of the street then walk up to the hotel on the corner and there inside a hotel is a fabulous place to eat. they have happy hour specials and food that's great for only 3 hours. it ends at 9 and i think it starts again at like 12 or 1am or something. oh and i almost forgot go to the very first stare bucks ever its better than all the others its in pike place market and the sign is the original its a little brown sign with the original logo on it. also please make sure you go get crab you can find place were its inexpensive. have you ever seen deadliest catch on discovery channel. well that's were they do all the crab fishing. have fun...

I would suggest you try Marjorie Restaurant at (206) 441-9842. They are a wonderful place that is pretty reasonable, but offers tasty fare. You might also try a place called Purple, they have restaurants in Woodinville, Kirkland and also downtown Seattle. Palamino is a great restaurant downtown in the City Center shopping mall. If you go to any of these you will not be disappointed. Good luck with your visit and have a great time while you are here.

The place to go is Maggy Bluffs right on the Elliott Bay Marina. It is at the back of the large building that contains the Palisades Restaurant and Maggy Bluffs uses the same kitchen. From Seattle you drive onto the Magnolia Bridge and exit about half way across. Turn left at bottom of exit and road turns right to large Parking Area.

Ooh, in Chinatown there's the Tamarind Tree, a Vietnamese restaurant that's a bit tucked away on Jackson in this little strip of stores/restaurants. It's really nice inside, affordable, and has excellent food! You have to try the Tamarind Tree Rolls if you go as a starter! I took my sister and uncle there a bit ago, we had a number of appetizers (probably 4-5), I had Pho, they shared a couple different things and it was under $100 including tip. It's one of my fave's and has a really nice decor. There's an outdoor covered patio with a little fountain/pool that is great if you're there during sunset.

I'm going to suggest Bamboo Garden. It's a very cool Chinese place near the Space Needle and it's 100% authentic except that it's completely vegan. All of the "meat" that they serve is vegetarian and everything on their menu is dairy, egg, and meat free. Even if that's not something you're into... it tastes good and it's cool to eat General Tso's chicken without eating chicken!

Capitol Hill area has lots of funky, cool, inexpensive, ethnic restaurants. I'm sure you'll be able to find what your looking for somewhere along 15th. enjoy yourselves!

I can't think of anywhere to go for a romantic dinner for $50.... sorry. Seattle Center, The Waterfront... there are a lot of places to eat but the food is like "Mall Food Court" food.

Seattle is pretty expensive, but you can go to Pike Place market and buy stuff to make your own romantic dinner and it would be a great day trip, OR if you can get to a near-by area like Tacoma or Olympia your budget will stretch alot further. Good Luck!!! Enjoy, it's beautiful up there!
