Are there any good gunsmiths in the bay area?

Good place to go for a retreat for 2 near Bay Area, San Francisco?

  • What is a good place for a couple to go for a retreat/vacation for 1-2 nights not too far from the bay area? (We're in SF) I heard of Cache Creek Casino Resort, Monterey Bay Aquarium (2 Hrs Drive), Napa, Thunder Valley Casino Resort, but Im looking more for something near down south, Cupertino San Jose area? A place with a night club would be nice too (Not too pricey either lol) Thanks

    It looks like you only enjoy gambling. there are all sorts of things to do around the Bay Area. I'm on a fun week of stuff with my GF. We started up in Calistoga at the "Mud Baths" and a couples massage. A 5 star dinner in the Napa Valley to finish the first day. Wine tasting on tap for day 2, with a nice dinner. then we'll head somewhere else on the third day of our week long adventure with no plans. Trips to "Nowhere" are fun and you get to experience NEW and different things.

You might like to explore Santa Cruz, Capitola. There are lots of neat places to see and things to do. Monterey is just over the bay from there also and has a wharf that is fun to check out. Best clam chowder ever is at Fisherman's Grotto. Louie Linguini's is nasty, as is Sly McFly's food. Sly's is more bar than restaurant and has live music at night but their food is horrible. Cannery Row is all commercial now if you like shopping. Every restaurant wants to give you a sample of their chowder, but trust me, the Grotto is the only place for it. The Carmel/Pebble Beach is great too. You can drive all around there. If you like Mediterranean food, Dametra's in Carmel is over the top good! Then you can walk to the beach and it's chilly-beautiful.

Monterey is a great place to get away from the Bay Area. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is always a fun place to visit and there is tons to do around the area as well. Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf have fun souvenir stores and great restaurants (especially if you like seafood). You can also take a whale watch tour or fishing trip out of Fisherman’s Wharf. Carmel-by-the-Sea is also nearby (about a 15 minute drive). There are tons of cute boutique shops, restaurants, art galleries and wine tasting rooms.

There's a great pizza place called Zacharys that in Berkeley. It's probably an hour drive or so. Maybe a little less.

There should be something in Los Gatos or Villa Montalvo in Saratoga but dont know about a club there. Downtown San Jose has clubs. You could drive down to Santa Cruz. Plenty of stuff there.
