What's your favorite restaurant in Philadelphia?

What is your favorite fine dining restaurant in Philadelphia?

  • I'm sure I could look on Zagat or whatever else, but I want to know from people's personal experience. So, What is the best fine dining restaurant (and experience) people have had in visiting Philadelphia? (I know cheesesteaks are "Philadelphia gourmet" but I'd like to have a classier dinner, you know? :) )

  • Answer:

Slater's Steaks and Seafood on the near west side

Try Amada in old city. It's a spanish tapas restaurant and the pre fixe chef's selection is amazing. Also look at Buddakan. Asian fusion and great as well. LeBecFin was a good restaurant until it shut its doors this year because of the economy. The owner will be opening 3 more restaurants, 2 in center city and 1 in the suburbs, soon.

I am always a sucker for Italian or French food so try these: Valanni Restaurant 1229 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA (215) 790-9494 Le Bec-Fin 1523 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA (215) 567-1000
