What are some fun activities to do in New York who is already a New Yorker?
-
I have lived in New York for most of my life and I am starting to get BORED doing the same things every weekend because I feel there is nothing fun for me and my boyfriend to do on our days off. Please advice on some fun New York activities for a New Yorker. Please don't advice tourist things because I have lived in New York for over 20 Years and I have been and no longer have interest visiting the statue of liberty, Empire State Building, or anything that a non New Yorker might love to see. I have also been to all or at least most Museums. Just hoping possibly someone can point out a hidden Gem or and activity I have yet to think of myself. I would not even mind suggestions to places a little out of the city that I can hop on path Train or Jersey bus about an hour away!?!?!?!? Please Throw out as many suggestions that you can think of! Thanks so much!!!!!

Answer:
It is really a shame that nothing interests you. I've lived in the city my entire life, 50+ years and there are so many places I would to visit and revisit. New York City has so much history and diversity, I find it hard to understand how one could get bored. City Island The Cloisters Brooklyn subway tour, http://mcbrooklyn.blogspot.com/2007/07/brooklyn-spelunking-atlantic-avenue.html - Bus day trips to Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City. , I'd try to find one that caters more to your age group. Governors Island Chelsea Piers offers numerous activities Union Square Market The Bronx Zoo I could go on and on, but I fear you may have done it all.

Go down to the village and get some sex toys, then go home and live it up under the sheets for three straight days, order in when you take breaks, Use it while you still can. Rent a swing set, whip the all deliver and do free set up. I doubt you are in shape enough for pole dancing as most NY'ers are fat but give it a shot. Have a great time, That is what we NYer's do after the 3rd yr here.

Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan or a nighttime dinner cruise. Long Island Railroad has day trips to various places in Nassau & Suffolk Counties. I would think the same applies to Metro North. Go to WWW.MTA.INFO for details.
