What are cheap and fun ideas for 18th birthday?

18th BIRTHDAY in NYC THIS WEEKEND? any fun ideas?

• my 18th birthday is this saturday the 20th, and either on friday or saturday I'm going to the city with my best friend. what are some fun things to do? I'm not into clubbing/bars etc. just some fun things to make this birthday memorable. ill be in time square. do you think it would be better to on friday as a weekday or on saturday for a weekend? whats a good place to eat? i was thinking of Ellen's stardust diner, or Jekyll and hyde. what do you think?? LOW BUDGET i just wanna have fun & make it a memorable night. btw- whats better the rock deck observance or top of empire state building? prices for those?? how long do you think we'd spend there? and sightseeing fun activities, again cheap. and only 2 people maybe 3 any suggestions/tips please please please they would be greatly appreciated. btw- im coming by trian from central jersey. thanks :) best answer, 10 points!

  Top of Rock is $18 with the coupon they give you at the entrance, and Empire State is $19. (Yea per person for a round trip elevator ride) But better than the observation decks for about the same price, but they might have a combo ticket with Top of Rock. NBC Studio Tour is $18.50 @ 30 Rock You see the sets to The Today Show, Dateline NBC, NBC Nightly News Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Saturday Night Live The tour is a little over an hour. Hours for Friday - Saturday: 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Most of the stuff to do around Times Square is expensive. But, if you want to see a show go to TKTS temporary location at the Marriott Marquis Hotel West 46th Street. They offer half price tickets the day of the show. Make sure you see Times Square at night and you can spend a lot of time in the shops there (free if you don't buy anything lol).
