What can I do with a food protection certificate at a hospital?

I live in NY. i've just passed 'food protection course' and got a food protection certificate. i'm going to?

  • get an interview at some restaurants with it. is it worth?

    While it's a bonus to have it on your resume, good luck getting interviews in this economy. I have my certification also, and was out of work for two years looking for a job until I finally got one again.

seems if i recall correctly, all food service peeps ned to get this to handle food in job service around food, best thing to use is what basic knowledge of food prep and such you may have,job interviews focusing on this certificate nay lead employer to think one has no knowledge of the food service industry might want to take up home ec or something in your classes, less already out of school may want to use this cert for a pt prep asst in local restaurant get some hands on experience before furthering a higher wage opportunity
