What is the most romantic restaurant in New York city?

Can anyone suggest a great romantic restaurant in New York City overlooking Central Park?

  • Hi. I'm taking my girlfriend to New York City for valentine's day and we'd like to eat somewhere romantic with a great view over Central Park, preferably really high up. Any suggestions please?

    Asiate (35th Floor) Boathouse (in Central Park) Cafe Botanica per se Porter House NY Rainbow Room (only open on the weekends, and I think it may be booked solid. Offers dancing and marriage proposals abound!) Tavern on the Green (in Central Park) These are all pricey restaurants as you want the best view Manhattan has to offer. Tavern on the Green's food isn't the best of these. If you want both a view and good food and wine, I would elminate the two in the park and I would focus on Asiate and Cafe Botanica. per se is amazing, but the tab will come to $1000 no matter how you try to save on the cost. It's totally worth the price tag, but it's a lot of money to part with!

I don't think there a restaurant like that by Central Park. Here are some suggestions... * The View at Marriot Marquis--this is in Times Square, but you have a 360 degree view of the city from this restaurant. * Tavern on the Green--right in CP * The Central Park Boathouse--this is a fabulous restaurant set right on the lake in Central Park. It's romantic and perfect and you can request a seat by the window that overlooks the lake.
