  • Answer:

Universal Citywalk has a lot of restaurants to choose from, fun stores to browse, a movie theater, and Jillian's (games and bowling alley but they might card at the entrance). http://www.citywalkhollywood.com/ The Grove is a nice outdoor mall located between Beverly and 3rd on Fairfax. It's nicer but there's not much to do aside from shopping and expensive theater. There's also a bigger version in Glendale called the Americana. http://www.thegrovela.com/ You could also check out Hollywood and Highland. It's a huge mall complex with two theaters and a lot of eateries (Johnny Rockets/CPK/Koji Shabu Shabu) but since it's Hollywood there's always a lot of things to see on the street and fun booths throughout the mall. http://www.hollywoodandhighland.com/ Wherever you end up going to eat...you should secretly let the waiter know it's your friend's birthday. You might get a free dessert or a happy birthday song from the waiters. Another option that I recommend is going to Karaoke. I recommend Max Karaoke Studio because they have a great song selection. You can get your own private room to rock out in. http://www.maxkaraokestudio.com/westlaprice.html

Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, or Torrance, CA. During the day time though. They become a club for 21 and up from nine until 2 a.m. I've been to all three locations and they're fun. Also, you can check out Putting Edge in the Howard Hughes Center. It's a glow in the dark miniature golf court. They play hip hop music, etc. Also, the HH Center has a lot of eateries from sushi to burgers (Islands). Go at night because during the day you'll probably run into little kids (birthday parties, etc). The only bad thing about this one is that you may have to bring an adult chaperone because Culver City has a strict curfew for minors. Maybe you could get an older cousin to go with you.

i looove the grove in west hollywood. there are a bunch of restaurants (cheesecake factory, etc.) and the farmer's market which has tons of different kinds of food, a movie theater, and lots of fun shopping. it's really pretty all lit up at night too!

You should go downtown to the new L.A. Live complex. It has a Lucky Strike and lots of different restaurants. It's also new, and it's very clean.
