Are there any superb jazz clubs in Los Angeles?

I'm wondering if anyone in the Los Angeles area knows of a jazz lounge kind of like Top of the Mark in SF.?

  • I'm wondering if anyone in the Los Angeles area knows of a jazz lounge kind of like Top of the Mark in San Francisco, the one at the top of the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel. That place has great live jazz music, a dance floor, and great views. My girlfriend and I have been trying to find a similar place in Los Angeles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Google Lounges with a view is what I would do... then call and see what sort of music they have. You have to decide what is more important the view or the Jazz music? Unfortunately there are not a LOT of places in LA that have restaurants with Spectacular views and LA isn't a Jazzy town. Bonaventure has a really nice restaurant but I don't believe they have entertainment call them and see. Also go over to Yelp and search "Jazz lounges" see what comes up. I find by googling I will probably come across some article or blog where someone mentioned a location and that is a good place to start. Good Luck! Psboston7 Director of Catering Sales ps.
