What are the best Mexican restaurants in Orange County? (preferably near Irvine/Costa Mesa/ Santa Ana?

  • Graduation time is coming up mid-June and people are looking for restaurants to take their extended family to. Looking for good group deals/prices, quality food, good service, clean environment (take into consideration that grandparents and elders will be there). It seems like this market is dominated by American BBQ and Italian food restaurants but what about Mexican ones? Help out the cause, what do you think?

    Avila's El Ranchito Restaurant - Botanas (appetizers) Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo Shrimp sauteed in butter and garlic, and the Carne Asada plate they real good

Javiers in Irvine Spectrum. It's a nice setting on the patio. Pretty good americanized Mexican food. Z'Tejas at South Coast Plaza has good food too and is roomy inside.
