What happened to the Ruby Tuesday in the Santa Anita Mall/Chino Hills?

  • In the Westfield Santa Anita mall website, it says in the directory that there is a Ruby Tuesday in the mall, and it says opening Holiday 2009, which is past it. I want to know. What is going on with the Ruby Tuesday in Santa Anita? Is it open already, or when is it going to open. I checked the Ruby Tuesday website, and it says the locations nearest me is the one in West Covina, and San Bernardino, which are the first locations opened. They also took off the page that shows the new openings of Ruby Tuesday on their website. Also I know that a Ruby Tuesday was also supposed to open in Chino Hills, and it said before in Feburary 2009, it's going to open, but is past it, and it's not listed on the website. So what is going on with the Ruby Tuesday in the Santa Anita Mall and in Chino Hills? Is it open? When is it going to open? Is it even going to open? Also what happened to the other Ruby Tuesdays they were supposed to open in that area also? What happened with them? They were supposed to open some more around the inland empire area by last year. So who ever knows what happened to any of the Ruby Tuesday's that's supposed to open in the Santa Anita Mall, and/or the one supposed to open in Chino Hills please answer. Also please tell me if you also know about new openings of Ruby Tuesday in Southern California. Thank You.

  • Answer:

First off look around the parking lot. Ruby Tuesday's likes freestanding restaurants whenever possible and it may be there. If not, I will take a guess. During most of 2009, they were doing a major remodeling of all thier restaurants and may have needed to delay or cancel new locations. The West Covina did open and was still open as of December. Take I-10 east to Azusa and go south a couple miles, it will be on the left and is in a center with a huge Target, Home Depot, etc. Now for the bad news, of the 20 or so times I have driven past it, it is never packed with customers. z
