I'm looking for english pubs or hang outs where I could eat, drink, and watch my soccer matches.

Go to Santa Monica. There's an English pub near ... I think it's 4th Street close to the water. They show Premier League games. Sorry, the name eludes me, but you can't miss it. There is a cluster of Anglo-themes shops in that area, and the pub is the main feature.
