Where to get free food?

Where can you get FREE food if you were hungry on the streets.?

  • I just want some free food to get past the summer. Where do you guys suggest as places that will have food available for Free. I'm in the Los Angeles area. Gonna start college soon so I need to conserve. s.e.e. http://www.skool.com

    Shelters, Helping Hands org, the site that you showed. I know some panhandlers (street beggars) who have a crap load of money just from asking people passing buy for a quarter or two.... sh@t.... I gave one $5 one day. Also, ramen noodles can be used as two meals (the broth as one, the noodles as another).

go to a sandwhich place or somewhere that sells fresh packaged sandwhiches, usually a big shop. If you wait till closing time around 6/7pm they put out all the unsold sandwhiches from the day because they cant re sell the next day...free sandwhiches:)

i was once on the streets. what i did was go in and ask to speak to the manager of any restaurant and told them i was hungry and had no money and was looking for a job and haven't found one yet, i would ask them if they could afford to give me something to eat, a small meal of any kind. if your honest with people they would usually help you out. also your local churches would help you out with information on food pantries that will furnish you with some groceries. they are usually helpful in allot of ways.

I just saw this on the news that college kids are now eating at soup kitchens... can't figure out why... as there's usually a meal plan included with your tuition... maybe you should get a job... or eat out of the dumpster... if you get hired at mcdonalds... your meals are free.

Skid row in downtown LA has several locations that serve the homeless. They are mostly near 6th and San Pedro street. The Weingart center and Union Rescue Mission are two of them.
