Are there any clubs in Los Angeles that play bachata music?

What good night clubs are in Flint, MI?

  • Hello. I am moving from Los Angeles, CA to Flint, MI temporarily until I get a house in San Francisco, CA this summer. From January 2010-June 2010, I will be living in Flint, MI. I know most of you wonder why the hell I am moving there since its full of crime and in the worse state to live in due to the economy but I am moving there for a job (yeah, I'm surprised too) and my employer is also providing me with a house and i don't need to pay anything until I've gotten a few paychecks. So the rent is free for the first month and I don't pay anything. But I am looking for stuff to do on the weekends while I'm there. I'm 25 years old and female. I want to find a night club while I'm there. But this is the thing... I don't like rap music or hip-hop. I've looked up clubs in Flint but I'm not sure what type of music they play. They look like fun clubs (by the photos) but I just don't like that type of music. I don't like country either. Aside from that, I listen to everything. But I am looking for a specific club that will play mostly electronic music like techno, trance, house, dance, etc... the occasional hip-hop song is fine, but it seems like most clubs only play that type of music but I don't get why so many people only want to hear hip-hop and radio hits. Even if any of you know of a club that has a "techno night" that is fine. Also, if anyone knows of any gay/lesbian clubs, I am interested in that too. But I want a club with people and a lot of energy. I hate the dressed to impress clubs where most people rather sit around and look pretty rather than dance and get all sweaty. Any clubs like this in or around Flint?

  • Answer:

Ok I'm from Lansing, MI but have been to flint several times and sorry to tell you, but flint sucks. there is NO good club there regardless of the pics you seen, they're all very dry. and especially since you say you don't like hip-hop etc...if you go to lansing, there are a lot of bars that play the music you like and a few clubs as well (X-cel in downtown lansing). so you may have to do some traveling if you want to have a good time, but it's not a far drive at all. And if you're ever willing to go to detroit you'll find A LOT of great clubs there....oh and by the way, the crime isn't bad there, but yes, the economy does suck that's why I just moved to TX. Good luck!
