Here are some fun places. Buckhorn Exchange - oldest continuously operating restaurant in Colorado. They serve lots of wild-game meats. A bit pricey but interesting, plus you can eat outside on the patio. Arada Ethiopian Restaurant - if you are a bit adventuresome and enjoy unusual flavors this place is divine. You eat the well-seasoned, succulent stews using the large crepe-like bread as a spoon. Everything is served family style on a large platter. Ask if you want it mild or extra spicy. Le Central - medium priced French restaurant with a menu written on a chalk board that changes daily. Dushanbe Teahouse in Boulder - a genuine Tajikistan tea house assembled piece by piece in Boulder. The setting is beautiful and the cuisine features a wide variety of international dishes. Some fun places to go: the Butterfly Museum, Molly Brown House and Botanic Gardens.

For a restaurant that is more of an "event" or "evening" Go on over to White Fence Farm. Choose from their chicken dinners, steak or fish all served "home style" in any one of their uniquely decorated dining rooms. As you arrive, sign in. You'll have a little time to stroll the barnyard, fish pond, or kids play on the equipment. Carriage Rides are always a highlight, as is the live music playing in the "barn". There are museum things to see and 2 giftshops to visit, with rocking chairs waiting on the porch. It's not real expensive - and it's really good food. Best pies around. On the west side of the city, White Fence Farm is in Lakewood, on Jewell between Wadsworth and Sheridan. From Hampden 285, go north on Wadsworth From 6th Avenue, go south on Wadsworth
