Go to the 95th floor in the Hancock building. I've been there a year ago and going again tomorrow. BEAUTIFUL view that overlooks chicago and Lake Michigan! It's fancy, but not too fancy! You'll love it! You can also take a trolley (its not too expensive) and go on the architectural tour and get dropped off by there. But you have to make reservations! It's the perfect place, you'll love it. Hope I helped! (It's also not too expensive either! I'm taking my granddaddy and his gf there tomorrow, and my parents, but My boyfriend took me there last year, I was soo amazed, trust me, you'll impress her!)

you can go to navy pier and eat dinner on a big boat. but remember the higher the restaurant is in a building the more it's going to cost. for example a restaurant on top of a skyscraper or penthouse would cost a fortune. sorry i didn't help you but go to Yelp.com and type in the type of food you guys are eating (italian?) and type in the location (Chicago) people rate the place 1-5 stars and write reviews too.

Flat-Top Grill is place where you make your own bowl and they cook it for you and it is delicious! It is next to Harpo Studios Hot wok Cool sushi is an asian restaurant that serves hot and cool dishes and it is right across from millenium park on michigan ave.

95th floor in the John Hancock. Not sure if it's easy to get into though. But if you do it has great food and beautiful views. Or take her to navy pier eat watch fireworks and go on the ferris wheel and you an buy her a gift in the shops there.
The Walnut Room at Macys on State has nice views, as does the Signature Room in the Hancock. The Signature is very pricey, though. Giordano's downown has window seating, and Ann Sathers also has nice window seating.
