How do I become a bartender in Boston?

• I am a grad student and I would like to work as part-time bartender to cover my living expenses... I worked as a barista in college, but I don't have any bartendering experience... I don't mind starting by doing something else - barback, server.. But how do I get the job? My resume is all businessy - marketing work and degrees... So how do I approach the job search? Which bars/restaurants would consider hiring someone like me?
