I think you would need one of the new machines that have both vhs and dvd plyer as long as the dvd plyer can record. if you don't have new machine you should be able to do this with a set of patch cords from vhs to dvd and view on tv while recording or burning the dvd as lond as dvd player has this option otherwise your going to have to find a professional in the field

Huh? You can't convert VHS tapes into DVD blank discs. Do you mean COPY old Vhs tapes?... this quesiton makes no sense as it can't be done as you have written it.
